SUCCESS in Hong Kong

SUCCESS in Hong KongKnown as SUCCESS for short, the Support and Consultation Centre for Small and Medium Enterprises (中小企業支援與諮詢中心 in Chinese) is a run by the Trade and Industry Department (TID). Collaborating closely with various trade and industrial organizations, private enterprises, professional bodies and other Government departments in Hong Kong, SUCCESS aims to provide SMEs with business information and consultation services free of charge.

SMEs who would like to obtain professional and expert advice may apply for SUCCESS’s Meet-the-Advisors service, which is a business advisory service. They may also opt to join the SME Mentorship Programme. All interested parties can make use of the Business Start-Up Information Service.

SUCCESS in Hong Kong provides the following business services to SMEs:

  • Government licenses or permit information for running different types of business and about starting a business in Hong Kong.
  • Access to free electronic business databases.
  • Information on SME-related activities, services and facilities through the internet.
  • Seminars and workshops organized to help broaden the knowledge of the SMEs and to help them enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
  • Reference Library for a wide collection of business references and material.
  • Produce the SME Pulse regularly, which provides the SMEs with information on topical issues.

Additionally, TID has also established a Customer Liaison Group for the purpose of strengthening SME communication amongst its customers. The aim is also to help improve the department’s services even further. Other functions of the Customer Liaison Group include:

  • Provide SMEs with feedback regarding the services provided by TID
  • Provide advice on enhancing TID’s services while considering the SMEs needs
  • Provide advice on raising SMEs awareness about TID’s services
  • Help SMEs strengthen customer relationships and enhance customer satisfaction
