Incorporation Steps to Follow
When it comes to India company registration, the process begins with each director acquiring an identification number. Based on the Company’s Act, the directors need to file an eForm (DIN-1) which is available on the official Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Now the authenticity of your documents can only be so when you have an official digital signature on the documents before electronic submission. Further, the law requires that the acquisition of the digital signature obtained from those agencies appointed by the Controller of Certification Agencies (CCA). After acquiring the digital signature, the next step is creating an account on MCA portal for filing an eForm. Fortunately, the creation of an account is free of charge and you only need to click on the register link.
After registering as a new user, you can now establish your business. Before you go further, you must have several available business names. The good news is that the moment you apply for a business name the MCA will propose four different kinds of your business name. You can then go ahead and choose from the list. This means you’ll have to fill Form-1A and submit. Alongside these forms, you’ll also fill up Form-18 and Form-32 to notify the new company’s registered office and appointment of new directors, managers, and secretary respectively.
Other Details Pertaining to Business Formation
As part of India company registration, Form-1A should be registered with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) to ascertain the Registered Office of the proposed company. The nominal administration fees payable is Rs500.
Now if you’re registering for foreign trade, then you must register your documents of import/export code with the Director General of Foreign Trade. The Company Act in India requires you to obtain a TAN card and a Permanent account number with the India income tax department.
